Job Description

The Route Sales Representative is responsible for driving a company vehicle within an established route or territory and delivering goods and products to various customer locations. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver products and services to assigned clients as outlined in the RSR’s Statement of responsibility.
  • Clean, maintain and help with basic repairs to all Aramark supplied equipment at client locations
  • Manage on site inventories as to ensure serveries are stocked at all times.
  • Maintain and control inventory as to minimize variances and conduct weekly inventory counts in your vehicle.
  • Complete all necessary documents as per corporate guidelines, i.e. invoices, cash out reports, work orders.
  • Pack daily route order for own route and verify accuracy
  • Stock, rotate and inventory vending machines (when applicable)
  • Cover other OCS and Vending routes when necessary
  • Filter changes and general repair & maintenance as required
  • Lift and carry weight ranging from 5 – 10 kilograms, minimum 20 times during an 8-hour period, utilizing proper lifting and carrying procedures.
  • Inform customers of all in-house promotions, new product lines and all pertinent refreshment information with the focus of increasing sales.
  • Work with sales team and customer service agent to ensure full understanding of new client information and requirements.
  • Operate a company vehicle in a manner that is safe for employee and public as per the Drivers Statement of Understanding.
  • Complete vehicle inspection daily (DVIR).  Ensure maintenance issues are taken care of.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized on a day to day basis.
  • Clean and prepare supplementary equipment and supplies needed for clients
  • Support warehouse functions; receiving orders, packing route loads, cleaning, inventory
  • Duties as assigned by the Management Team.
  • Notify Management of any change in contact person at location.
  • Represent ARAMARK professionally.
  • Attend staff and Health & Safety meetings.
  • Participate in Service Stars, WHMIS and other training as required.
  • Support the “Own the Cup” program.

  • Must possess a valid license and have an excellent driving record – Drivers Abstract required.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must pass Criminal Records check and be bondable.
  • Ability and willingness to promote featured products and upsell to meet client’s needs.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
