As Aramark continues to grow, we are looking to recruit Food Service Directors and General Managers to lead our operations in the Maritime provinces.  If you are already in the Maritimes or have an interest in relocating to our beautiful east coast, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

Here are the key responsibilities our Leaders undertake:

 

•    Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance 
•    Coach employees by creating a shared understanding of what needs to be achieved and how to execute. Reward and recognize employees. 
•    Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
•    Identify client needs and effectively communicate operational progress. 
•    Build revenue and manage budget, including cost controls regarding food, beverage, and labor 
•    Ensure full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals, including food and labor 
•    Direct and oversee operations related to production, distribution, and foodservice 
•    Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees 
•    Build and develop supervisory staff to become future leaders 
 

Qualifications

 Here are the qualifications our Leaders have in common:

 

•    Bachelor's degree in an area of Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management is preferred
•    Meaningful experience in the service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment, including managing teams 
•    Experience managing unionized staff and an understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements is an asset
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive business relationships with our clients, customers and staff
•    Strong analytical, project planning, and financial management skills
