Reporting to the Catering Manager, the Catering Services Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of all events booked with Dalhousie Food Services Catering. All events are to be handled in a professional, organized manner while ensuring 100% client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative tasks including but not limited to: receiving catering orders, invoicing and payment collection, cash reporting and auditing etc.
- May support Catering Manager in meeting with clients to determine catering requirements, floor plans, rentals, staffing for events.
- Support Catering team in setting up event spaces, delivering orders, serving, and taking down event spaces.
- Provide quality, courteous service to all customers.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Support Catering Manager in managing inventory and purchasing.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, responding to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Support Catering Manager in onboarding new Catering team members.
- Ensure adherence to all client and Aramark policies and procedures.
- Uphold Classic Fare Catering standards through training and taking part in program updates.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in catering and/or event planning environment, preferably in a leadership role.
- Completion of Hospitality or Food and Beverage program considered an asset.
- Smart Serve certification considered an asset.
- Skilled in relationship building.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Valid driver’s license with clean Driver's Abstract
- Flexible schedule, as evening and weekend work may be required.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
