Job Description
The Marketing & Events Coordinator leads the execution of the COMPLETE Education program, i.e. in-person conferences and webcasts as well as the management of the online course library (SCORM). This position is also actively involved in program development and is responsible for portal content management for the Education portlet.
Job Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution (live events)
- Solely responsible for organizing logistical requirements for all CPS events across Canada.
- Sources and books venues for all CPS events, taking into consideration industry and distributor events.
- Organizes all event requirements, including but not limited to: creation & design of online registration sites, mobile events app; purchase of promotional items; set up of group registration; development of host/emcee notes, presentation templates, event day team assignments, etc. If travel is required by the Ops team, booking of lodging, etc.
- Works directly with each venue to coordinate & organize all logistics including but not limited to: food & refreshments, room set-up, supplier storage & tradeshow requirements, AV, etc.
- Works directly with speakers to determine & coordinate requirements including lodging, travel (if required), handout materials, etc.
- Develops event communication email template, including event button/link, for use by Account Managers.
- Develops and sends out event email campaigns.
- Publishes event content on the portal.
- Communicates event registration updates and recommends follow up actions, as needed.
Event Planning & Execution (webcasts)
- Solely responsible for organizing logistical requirements for all webcasts.
- Organizes all webcast requirements, including but not limited to: creation & design of ON24 registration and presentation, intro/housekeeping slides, recording, etc.
- Works directly with speakers to coordinate recording for simu-live webcasts, polling questions, video uploads, etc.
- Publishes webcast content on the portal.
- Acts as the facilitator on webcast live date.
- Communicates webcast engagement results and recommends follow up actions, as needed.
Online Courses
- Assists the VP, Marketing & Program Development in managing the review and update schedule of all online courses, including portal updates.
- Program Development
- In collaboration with the CPS marketing & program development VP, identifies opportunities for enhancements to the Education program, as well as develops, evaluates and/or curates content.
- Develops tools and resources to enhance and effectively market the COMPLETE dining program, including but not limited the following: development of hands and pans recipe videos, supplier partnership webcasts, etc.
Field Support & Engagement
- Provides corporate support to Account and Sales Managers.
Measurement & Analysis
- Monitors event attendance and engagement, prepares reports and recommends changes, as needed.
- Monitors, recommends and applies learnings from event management & virtual learning trends to enhance the COMPLETE Education program.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 (two) years of marketing, communication and/or event management experience, demonstrating a record of progressively increasing responsibility.
- Experience and demonstrated ability on the use of the following: event management software (Cvent), email marketing software (Mailchimp or similar), and ON24.
- Experience in photography and video editing software is an asset.
- Above average computer skills, specifically in Microsoft office applications – MS Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
