Job Description
Aramark Destinations at Pikes Peak is hiring six full-time, seasonal Custodial Service Workers to support daily cleaning and maintenance across multiple mountain and office locations. These team members will play a key role in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for millions of guests each year.

This is a non-leadership, hands-on role focused on cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. Porters will work under the supervision of the Custodial Supervisor and Custodial Manager.

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $17.74 to $17.74. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning Tasks: Perform general custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in public and staff areas.
• Restroom Sanitation: Clean and restock restrooms frequently throughout the day to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Trash & Recycling: Empty trash and recycling bins regularly; ensure proper disposal and cleanliness of waste areas.
• High-Altitude Facilities: Clean and maintain all assigned areas including entryways, stairwells, breakrooms, and guest spaces at elevations up to 14,115 feet.
• Surface Disinfection: Sanitize high-touch areas and surfaces to maintain health and safety standards.
• Guest Interaction: Provide friendly, courteous service when engaging with guests and promptly address minor concerns.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a custodial team to complete shift tasks efficiently and consistently.
• Weather Adaptability: Perform outdoor cleaning duties as needed in various weather conditions.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Assist with special cleaning projects and event support as directed by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to perform duties in extreme weather at high elevation

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role will also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Friendly and respectful when interacting with guests and coworkers
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• OSHA/First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus

Site-Specific Information – Crystal Reservoir Gift Shop

Located along the scenic Pikes Peak Highway at approximately 9,200 feet, Crystal Reservoir offers a peaceful and picturesque work environment. The gift shop serves as a popular stop for travelers heading to the summit, offering retail items, refreshments, and incredible lake views.

New for the 2025 season, Aramark will launch a dedicated food trailer operated by Blacksmith Catering, specializing in smoked meats and signature barbecue offerings. This exciting addition will enhance the guest experience and offer team members a chance to be part of a brand-new culinary venture.

Site-Specific Information – Glen Cove Inn

At over 11,000 feet along the historic Pikes Peak Highway, Glen Cove Inn serves as a nostalgic stop for tourists and locals alike, featuring a casual “greasy spoon” kitchen and a vibrant gift shop. This location offers both high guest volume in the summer and a quieter, but rugged, winter season.

Site-Specific Information – Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center

At 14,115 feet atop Pikes Peak, the Summit Visitor Center offers a stunning destination for travelers arriving by car, train, or foot, with a modern cafeteria serving famous high-altitude donuts and a well-stocked gift shop featuring souvenirs and local treats.

The center experiences heavy visitor traffic in the summer and a much quieter, weather-dependent winter season. Because personal vehicles are restricted at the summit during peak periods, staff and supervisors must be eligible to operate Aramark-provided vehicles, and weather-related closures or schedule changes are common due to rapidly changing mountain conditions.
