Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Groundskeeper in Chattahoochee, Florida to maintain a large 600-acre facility for the Florida Department of Children & Family Services. This full-time role pays $17.50 per hour and focuses on outdoor maintenance, landscaping, and general facility upkeep. Day-to-day work includes mowing, trimming, edging, and caring for flowerbeds using tools like zero-turn mowers and weed eaters. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with consistent hours and a steady workload. This is a physically active, outdoor position working in varying weather conditions, ideal for candidates with landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance experience. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily groundskeeping duties across a 600-acre facility, including mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, and weeding
  • Maintain and care for flowerbeds, landscaping features, and green spaces
  • Operate landscaping equipment such as zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, and other hand/power tools 
  • Clean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and outdoor common spaces
  • Assist with planting, fertilizing, and seasonal grounds maintenance as needed 
  • Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools
  • Follow all safety procedures and report equipment issues or hazards immediately 
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
  • Support supervision of inmate labor crews (training provided) to complete groundskeeping tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a State of Florida Level II background check
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM consistently
  • Ability to perform physical work including bending, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance
  • Experience operating landscaping equipment (zero-turn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, trimmers, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and general landscaping practices
