Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Groundskeeper to support the Buildings and Grounds Department for Indian Prairie School District #204. This position is responsible for the maintenance, preparation, and beautification of school grounds, athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaped areas across the district.

This role is ideal for someone with grounds, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience who takes pride in safe, well-maintained environments and enjoys hands-on work in a team-based, school district setting.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $17.25 to $17.25. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled grounds maintenance assignments in a timely manner

• Maintain and prepare athletic fields, including initial field setup and seasonal care

• Perform turf care, including mowing, edging, aeration, and fertilization

• Maintain landscaping, including woody plants, flowers, and green spaces

• Safely apply chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides as assigned and in accordance with regulations

• Operate and maintain grounds equipment, tools, and vehicles

• Maintain safe and clean paved surfaces, walkways, and outdoor areas

• Inspect, maintain, and repair playground equipment and playground sites

• Accurately account for time and work completed using a mobile CMMS system

• Support snow removal, seasonal cleanup, and emergency response efforts as needed

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or facilities experience preferred

• Ability to read labels, safety instructions, and written directions

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Ability to obtain pesticide/herbicide applicator licensing within two years of hire (as required by state/local regulations)

• Non commercial driver’s license required
• Working knowledge of groundskeeping principals and power landscape equipment
• Must be able to adhere to safety procedures
• Work involves exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
 

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects exceeding 60 lbs

• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles

• Must be comfortable working alone when assigned
