Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Food Service Manager - Patient Services position at Gracie Square Hospital located in New York City.  The Food Service Manager will support the Patient Services Operation in the Food & Nutrition Department and will be responsible for developing and executing dining solutions to meet patient and customer needs and tastes. This person will utilize technical training and interpret government mandated nutritional standards in the healthcare industry on food health to develop healthy menu implementation plans. Manages patient feeding, quality assurance and drives patient satisfaction scores.  

 

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

•    Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service. 
•    Drives patient and customer satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding. 
•    Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards. 
•    Manages patient food service activities, complying with established standards
•    Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance the Food Service front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control and cash handling. 
•    Manages and controls labor, resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels and cost control within budgetary guidelines. 
•    Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems. 
•    Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services 
Assists in other areas of the department such as production and catering

Qualifications

•    Requires Food Service Supervisory or Management experience. 
•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
•    Healthcare patient services management experience preferred. 
•    Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. 
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required.
•    Excellent interpersonal, customer services and organizational skills required. 
•    Nutrition education and/or background preferred.
•    SERV Safe Certification is a plus.
•    NOTE: This client location requires all individuals working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date.
